David Hirschfelder -Quartet

David Hirschfelder is recognised globally as one of Australia’s most distinguished screen-composers, having garnered Oscar nominations for Scott Hick’s "Shine" and Shekhar Kapur’s “Elizabeth”. He is also the winner of two BAFTA (British Academy) awards for "Strictly Ballroom" and "Elizabeth".
His recent film-scores include Craig Monahan’s "Healing", nominated for APRA and FCCA Awards; Jonathan Teplitzky’s "The Railway Man", which won AACTA and APRA 2014 film score awards; and most recently, Russell Crowe's "The Water Diviner", which was nominated for an AACTA in 2014, and won the 2014 FCCA Regal Cinema Award for Best Music Score.

The following is an extract from a review in Variety:

“The Railway Man” retraces the tracks of an exceptional man’s life, as former British soldier Eric Lomax confronts the Japanese officer who tortured him as a prisoner of war nearly four decades earlier ………… The secret weapon here is Australian composer David Hirschfelder, who previously collaborated with Teplitzky on “Better Than Sex” and before that on such indelible Oz scores as “Strictly Ballroom” and “Shine,” whose timeless theme conveys all of the hurt and forgiveness which the film otherwise underplays on screen.

In 2013 the studio’s new management and production team are helping to keep this legacy alive. With a deep respect and knowledge of the past, and a clear vision for the future, our team is combining classic analog with state of the art digital equipment to help bring any size project to life.

Artists that have graced the halls over the years include: David Bowie, Duran Duran, Prince, Alanis Morissette, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Elton John, Alan Parsons, Split Enz, INXS, Icehouse, Easy Beats, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, The Script, Newton Faulkner, Paramore, and the list goes on

Eddie Parise - Audio Bunker & ex Baby Animals Bass player -2 x Rosetta 800 + XHD

EddieParise2

Music recording has come a long way in the 30 years since Audio Bunker founder, Eddie Parise, started playing with his beloved TEAC 3340s 4 track recorder. Technology may have changed since then, but this early, raw experience is an essential element of what makes the Audio Bunker such a great recording studio.
THE BABY ANIMALS – Australian rock personified.
Eddie helped form the multi ARIA award winning rock band The Baby Animals, the result of a journey which began cutting demos at home using whatever he could get his hands on in order to complete a track – portastudio, 1” 3M tape machine, TEAC 4 track, you name it.
When Eddie met Kevin “Caveman” Shirley, famous record producer for bands like Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin, he asked him to help record a demo for The Baby Animals… it was the start of a fantastic working relationship, which saw them score a recording deal in the USA, working with Mike Chapman sitting in the producers chair (famous for his work with Suzi Quatro, Blondie and Pat Benetar among others).
The band’s 1991 debut album ‘Baby Animals’ spent six weeks at No.1, and became the highest selling debut album of that time, winning 5 ARIA nominations and 3 awards – their first taste of success. They went onto tour Europe and the USA with artists such as Bryan Adams, Van Halen, Paul Rodgers and Robert Plant
